The Role
• Deliver engaging sociology lessons to students aged 11–18, inspiring a love for the subject
• Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum and school vision
• Support students’ academic progress and personal development, helping them build confidence and analytical skills
• Contribute to a thriving humanities department and the wider school community
• Take part in enrichment activities, school events, and ongoing professional development
What We’re Looking For
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in sociology or a related field
• Experience teaching sociology at KS4 and KS5 (KS3 desirable)
• Enthusiasm for fostering curiosity, debate, and independent thinking
• Commitment to inclusivity, collaboration, and continuous improvement
