Locum Sonographer – Cambridge

We are seeking an experienced Sonographer to support our NHS client in Cambridge, delivering high‑quality DVT and MSK ultrasound services within a busy and well‑established imaging department. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident practitioner looking for a stable locum role with flexibility and strong potential for extension.

Contract and Shift Pattern

Strong likelihood of extension

Seven‑day service with hours covered within the rota

*

Weekdays: 08:00–18:00 or 12:00–20:00

*

Weekends: 08:00–18:00

*

Full‑time or part‑time options available

Role Overview

You will be responsible for independently performing and reporting:

DVT ultrasound scans

*

MSK ultrasound examinations

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgement, excellent patient‑care skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

HCPC registration (essential)

*

Proven experience in DVT and MSK ultrasound

*

Ability to work autonomously and deliver accurate, timely reports

*

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
