A leading public sector organisation in the North West is seeking an interim Specialist Commissioner to join their Adults Commissioning Team on a 3-month assignment, with a strong focus on Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, and Neurodiversity, plus support to Older People's commissioning.

Description
Key Responsibilities
Drive innovative commissioning strategies and improve service models.
Work across health and social care partnerships to ensure integrated, effective service delivery.
Oversee complex contract management and high-value commissioning budgets.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders, residents, and providers to shape service delivery.
Provide strategic oversight and leadership to a multi-disciplinary commissioning team.
Profile
What We're Looking For
Proven background as a lead commissioner in adult social care, mental health, or VCFSE services.
Compassionate leadership with the ability to inspire and drive performance.
Strong understanding of commissioning models, data-led decision making, and budget management.
Project management experience and a recognised professional qualification (degree or equivalent).
Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and those with lived experience.
Flexibility to attend in-person meetings at Trafford Town Hall at least 2 days per week.
