WAREHOUSE MANAGER

GLOUCESTER/PONTYPOOL

3 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT

£30-£35K NEGOTAIBLE DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

RSW are looking to recruit a Warehouse Manager for a 3 month fixed term contract with our client, a food manufacturer. Initially, the role will be based in Gloucester for the first 6 weeks then will then move to Pontypool for the opening of a brand new site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a small team in a food manufacturing environment. My client will consider experienced Warehouse Supervisors with a food background that are looking to move into a managerial position. There is potential for the contract to be extended but isn’t guaranteed.

Job role:

* As the Warehouse Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing warehouse

operations, including receiving raw materials, shipments of products, storing and

managing inventory and dispatching goods to customers and end-users.

* Making improvements to storage and organising new storage solutions.

* Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.

* Check orders after picking for accuracy advising warehouse staff of any errors to

minimise future discrepancies.

* Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing H&S

standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations.

Essential skills and qualifications:

* Five or more years of experience in warehouse management

* Experience in a food manufacturing or food warehousing environment

* Strong people management skills

* Excellent problem-solving skills & able to think outside the box

* A strong understanding of Health & Safety in a Food based environment

* IT and Microsoft office package skills
