Job: Hospitality Assistant Financial Controller
Location: Bromley
Salary: 40k (dependant on experience)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Financial Controller to join a growing hospitality business undertaking a strategic change. We’re seeking a driven and organised Assistant Financial Controller with experience in the hospitality industry to take responsibility for supporting all financial accounting, internal audit, tax, treasury, and cash management activities by working closely with our operations team. The Assistant Financial Controller will manage the monthly closure process and take responsibility for the corporate financial reporting in a timely manner. Reporting directly to the General Manager.

Assistant Financial Controller Responsibilities include:

* Ownership of unreconciled accounts, ensuring completion and accuracy

* Identify areas for process improvement

* Collaborate and business partner with other business units

* Assist the Financial Controller in ensuring a smooth audit process

* Lead the redesign of the month-end closing process

* Guide and mentor junior members of staff

* Work closely with executive team

The ideal Assistant Financial Controller will have:

* Must have experience in the hospitality industry including food and beverage operations

* Relevant qualifications

* Proactive self-starter – arrives with solutions, keen to maximise opportunities and motivated to expand your knowledge and ask questions

* Proven track record in a fast pace environment with the ability to work well under pressure

* Strong knowledge of Excel and financial systems

* Experience with audit process and month-end closing procedures

* Ability to work independently and within a team
