Role: Teaching Assistant
Location: SK5, Stockport
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:45 PM (45-minute lunch break)
Pay: £13.69 to £15.87 per hour (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, long-term (opportunity to go permanent)

Reeson Education is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the SK5 area. This Teaching Assistant role is based within a well-resourced SEND provision attached to the mainstream school, supporting pupils across various key stages with diverse needs including SEMH, ASD, ADHD, non-verbal communication, SLCN, sensory processing needs, and global developmental delay.

As a Teaching Assistant in this inclusive setting, you will provide consistency, structure, and meaningful support for children who benefit from a highly tailored approach to education. This Teaching Assistant position is perfect for someone who is flexible, nurturing, and experienced with a range of additional needs.

* Delivering 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASD, SEMH, ADHD, sensory needs, and other learning barriers
* Supporting communication through visual aids, basic signing, and structured routines
* Assisting pupils with emotional regulation and engagement using trauma-informed approaches
* Liaising with the SENDCO and external agencies to support personalised targets
* Encouraging independence, self-confidence, and progress in all areas of learning
* Supporting safe and structured transitions throughout the school day
