We’re looking for a Sales Order Processor to join our growing office and play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient order handling.
About the Role
As a Sales Order Processor, you will be responsible for managing the flow of sales orders from initial enquiry through to completion. This includes processing orders, maintaining accurate records, supporting the sales team, and communicating with customers to ensure excellent service throughout.
Key Responsibilities

Order Processing: Accurately process sales orders using ERP software (e.g. SAGE or similar), ensuring timely and efficient handling.

Quote Management: Prepare customer quotes and sales orders in line with company procedures and deadlines.

Customer Communication: Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email, providing a high level of service and support.
*
Record Keeping: Maintain and update customer records, order details, and sales documentation.
*
Inbox & Admin Support: Manage shared inboxes and provide general administrative support to the sales and operations teams.

Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve any order-related issues or discrepancies quickly and effectively.

Data Handling: Use spreadsheets and CRM systems to track sales performance and order metrics.

Cross-Department Coordination: Liaise with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met in full.
What We’re Looking For

Experience: Minimum 2 years in a sales order processing, administration, or office-based customer service role.

Multitasking: Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple priorities.
*
IT Skills: Confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with ERP systems like SAGE, SAP, or Oracle is advantageous.

Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
*
Team Player: A collaborative mindset with the ability to work in a small team environment.
*
Local Candidate: A full UK driving licence is essential; applicants must live locally or within easy commuting distance.
