The Role As the Health & Safety Manager, you’ll:

Oversee comprehensive health and safety operations for a 27,000-square-meter venue, managing compliance across 10 floors and diverse operations including numerous plant rooms and lifts.
Ensure seamless safety for 400 annual events, from conferences to graduations, conducting essential spot checks on risk assessments and build processes, particularly for CDM-compliant events.
Act as the primary H&S expert, providing crucial guidance to Event Managers and the Operations Team, developing pro forma risk assessments, and leading incident management and emergency preparedness.
Drive continuous improvement in safety standards, conducting daily site inspections, auditing contractor activities, managing high-risk work permits, and staying ahead of legislative developments to advise on policy amendments. Your Skills To be successful in the role of Health & Safety Manager, you’ll bring:

Proven experience and expertise in health and safety, particularly within fast-paced events or hospitality settings.
Strong knowledge of H&S regulations, CDM requirements, and risk management, coupled with the ability to create and implement comprehensive H&S plans and policies.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective liaison with diverse stakeholders and the ability to influence and negotiate.
A proactive and meticulous approach to identifying and resolving safety issues, managing incident reporting systems, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
The ability to lead emergency responses and implement business continuity measures, demonstrating strong leadership even without direct line management. What’s in it for you?
