Look no further because our client, a leading training and apprenticeship provider, is seeking an exceptional individual to fill the position of Functional Skills Tutor in Marchwood, Southampton.

Purpose of the Position:

As a Functional Skills Tutor, your mission is to deliver top-notch training programs that equip military learners with the essential functional skills required for their role. You will be responsible for providing face-to-face and remote support to around 30 learners in English and Maths. With a focus on Royal Logistics and Royal Engineering learners, you will play a crucial role in enhancing their knowledge and understanding.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and effective face-to-face and remote functional skills training in English and Maths to military learners.
Assess learners' progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
Utilize innovative teaching methodologies and technology to enhance learning outcomes.
Conduct thorough performance assessments and maintain up-to-date records of learners' progress.
Build positive relationships with learners and provide ongoing support and guidance.
Liaise with other team members and stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of training programs.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in functional skills training.

Job Requirements:

Significant experience delivering functional skills training, preferably in a military or defence training context.
Hold a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
PTLLS is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in utilizing technology for remote teaching and learning.
Ability to engage and motivate learners effectively.
Flexibility in working hours and a very flexible working approach.
Driving licence and access to own carMy client is offering:

A starting salary of £28,000 - £29,000
Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week contract
