Nelson Permanent Placements are working with our client recruiting for an Electrical Engineer with relevant experience to join a family-owned company in West Bromwich which has been operating for over 150 years.

To be considered for this role as an Electrical Engineer you will be:
* Professionally qualified within this discipline
* Proven track record of electrical maintenance
* Experienced in the FMCG and Chemical manufacturing
Key Responsibilities of an Electrical Engineer
* Be competent in the provision, inspections, planned, operations and the development of maintenance
* Control of authorised budgets
* Design, upgrading, specification, instillation of electrical equipment
* Supervise and training of the electrical team and contractors
* Should have a good understanding of ATEX, area classification and BS60079
* Creating a positive Health and Safety culture meeting the highest level of safety meeting legal, statutory and company requirements
* Liaison at all levels inside the Company. Outside contacts typically include suppliers, contractors and agencies such as the HSE & EA.
Requirements of an Electrical Engineer
* Educated to RQF level 3 (e.g. Full City & Guilds level 3) in a practical Electrical discipline as a minimum.
* Ideally, you will have 2 years in a supervisor role with five years hands on experience.
* Ideally you would have CompEx (Ex01-04) & (Ex05-06) qualifications but this is not a necessity as these can be acquired once employed.
