I have a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer with welding/fabrication knowledge to join a company based in Bathford on a permanent basis.

This manufacturing company produces security paper for governed bodies, it’s used with security print to identify and authenticate a document as original. You will be reporting to the Maintenance Manager and required to participate in multi-skilled engineering support for both planned and unplanned engineering activities. This role is predominantly for a fabricator to assist the current engineers with a number of projects that are going through the factory to increase output.

Due to the nature of the business, you will require a DBS check; The company will fund.

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Bathford

Contract: Permanent

Salary: Up to £50,000.00 + £4,000.00 call out

This particular contract is to work on days:

Monday – Thursday 8am – 4pm

Friday 8am – 3pm

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide hands-on support to production and service facilities

* Assist production department with movement of materials when necessary

* Investigate plant failures and carry out root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques to provide permanent solutions

* Supervise and direct contractors in both maintenance and project capacities

.00 - £40,000.00

* To minimise the costs of maintaining equipment

* Liaise with process personnel on process improvements

* Assist in identifying engineering materials requirements

* Carry out site installation of new equipment and modification of existing equipment

* Work with Maintenance Manager to develop Professional maintenance routines for key process equipment in line with OE requirements

To be considered:

* Time served Engineer (electrically or mechanically biased)

* FLT licence (training can be provided)

* Boiler operator experience (training can be provided)

* Basic fabrication/welding skills

* Good HSE understanding linked to manufacturing environment
