Job responsibilities:
Develop detailed functional design specifications for gas turbine control systems.
Design and implement control system hardware for turbine-related applications.
Specify electrical hardware components for control systems.
Create wiring schematics and general arrangement drawings for control panels using CAD tools.
Liaise with clients and subcontractors to ensure technical requirements are met.
Develop test procedures and technical specifications for systems and components.
Prepare procurement documentation for electrical and control equipment.
Perform testing and validation of electrical control panels.
Support installation and commissioning activities for control and instrumentation systems.
Complete all project documentation, including site visit reports and quality records for software/product revisions.
Conduct on-site commissioning following maintenance or service activities.
Essential Experience and Skills:
Strong understanding of industrial PLC systems and their role in control applications.
Practical knowledge of field instrumentation (e.g., pressure transmitters, thermocouples, control valves).
Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
Formal qualifications or demonstrable experience in Electrical Engineering.
Hands-on experience with electrical wiring, installation, and fault diagnosis.
Competent with electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters, signal injectors).
Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.
Ability to manage and prioritise tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
Skilled in interpreting technical specifications and documentation.
Capable of working independently or leading a team on-site.
Valid, clean driving license and full passport are essential.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
Experience in the Power Generation industry.
Knowledge of high-voltage (HV) systems and generator protection schemes.
Familiarity with PLC and HMI systems-particularly Rockwell and Siemens S7.
Formal training in AutoCAD Electrical.
TUV/Süd Functional Safety certification or equivalent.
Experience designing and implementing Fire & Gas protection systems.
Understanding of gas turbines, rotating equipment, and hydraulic systems
