Surface Mount Operator - Immediate Start (Temp to Perm)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Surface Mount Operator to join a well-established electronics manufacturer in Southend. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous SMT experience looking for a long-term role with career progression.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret and understand Job Cards and Specifications accurately
Programme Surface Mount Machines according to job requirements
Collaborate with the Quality/Compliance Manager or Technician to test first-run jobs
Monitor and ensure smooth operation of Surface Mount Machines
Supervise the Surface Mount Department and support team members
Operate SMT equipment to place/fix components onto PCBs
Conduct ongoing quality checks to ensure PCBs meet required standards
Perform additional duties relevant to the role as needed

Requirements:

Previous experience operating Surface Mount Machines is essential
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and organisational skills
Willingness to take on supervisory responsibilities
