ABC Teachers is seeking a passionate and empathetic Humanities Teacher to join their dedicated team at a specialist all-through school in Kidderminster. The school supports students with a range of complex learning needs, including social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH), speech and language communication needs, and autism.

This is a unique opportunity to teach History, Geography, and Religious Education (RE) in a nurturing and flexible environment, blending classroom learning with outdoor and experiential approaches. About the role 

Deliver differentiated and accessible lessons in Humanities subjects, tailored to individual learning needs and EHCP targets.
Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel safe and supported.
Collaborate with support staff and therapists to adapt teaching for students with autism, SEMH, and speech/language needs.
Use outdoor learning opportunities and cross-curricular projects to enhance engagement and deepen understanding

About you: 

To be considered for the Outdoor Educational Teacher position, you will: 

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching Humanities subjects (History, Geography, RE) at primary or secondary level.
Passion for working with students with SEND, especially SEMH and autism.
Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
Flexibility, patience, and a creative approach to lesson planning
Commitment to inclusive education and personalised learning
Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
