Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias looking for an exciting opportunity in the engineering and manufacturing sector? We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our dynamic team in Rowley Regis, West Midlands.
Duties include:
As a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
* Conducting planned electrical and mechanical maintenance to ensure optimal performance of manufacturing equipment.
* Completion of planned preventative maintenance routines associated with all plant and equipment to include electrical & mechanical repair and refurbishment
* Resolution of ad-hoc breakdowns
* Proactive development of operational process and equipment to enhance the efficiency of the operation
* Performing reactive repairs on a diverse range of machinery, including CNC machinery, PLC controls, Manual machinery such as capstans and lathes, milling machines, presses, polishing and metal finishing equipment etc.
* Log jobs to ensure safety and full completion of work carried out
* Inspection and testing of equipment to ensure safe operation of the plant
* Supporting the business and production teams as required
* Assisting with plant moves, equipment installation, and commissioning machinery into new buildings or areas when required.
Qualifications, Experience & Qualities required:
To be successful in this role, candidates must have:
* A UK industry recognised Electrical qualification is essential
* Demonstrated experience in both electrical and mechanical plant maintenance within a factory, production, or manufacturing environment is essential
* Experience of and working with planned preventative maintenance systems
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong aptitude for fault finding and repairing complex machinery
* The ability & knowledge to ensure all work complies with safety standards and company procedures
* The mentality to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be willing to tackle a variety of challenges
* The ability to work well as part of a wider team whilst operating effectively when working alone
* Proactivity to seek ways to improve processes and equipment efficiency
