The Team & Focus of the Role

We have an exciting, new opportunity for a Financial Reporting Manager to come and join our Rural Client Accounts team. If you have a passion for providing great service to people and to clients, then this could be the role for you.

This role will include responsibility for creating and presenting financial reports with consultation from internal and external stakeholders, delivering standardised reporting across the Rural Client Accounting team. You will also be reviewing and analysing accounting data, including bank reconciliations, variance explanations, and much more at regular intervals (monthly and quarterly), so knowledge and experience of Xero would be required.

This is a permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours), based at our office in Ashby de la Zouch. We also operate a hybrid working policy.

Duties will include:

* Consulting with internal and external stakeholders to create and present financial reports.

* Assist delivering standardised reporting across the Rural Client Accounting team.

* Liaising with external advisors regarding financial information we present.

* Reviewing and analysing accounting data on Xero across multiple clients at regular intervals (monthly, quarterly), including but not limited to bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, variance explanations, cut off adjustments.

* Reviewing VAT returns for accuracy and completeness and delivering feedback to the Client Accountant.

* Providing training and support to client accountants and the wider client accounting team.

* Supporting the wider Rural Property Management team in utilising cloud accounting software.

The successful candidate will have...

* ACCA or CIMA qualified. Part qualified will be considered if experience is adequate.

* Experience of financial reporting, accounting principles and accounting standards.

* VAT experience including partial exemption calculations.

* Experience of Xero.

* Investigative and problem-solving approach and working towards effectiveness and efficiency.

* Excellent IT Skills especially Microsoft Excel.

* Experience of training colleagues with a finance background and colleagues who don’t have a finance background in person and remotely.
