Job Title: Shift Operational Technician

Location: Beddington

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Sunday (including night shifts)

Salary: Circa £50,000 per year

(Inclusive of shift allowance and participation in an annual bonus scheme, plus a comprehensive benefits package)

Job Overview:

An opportunity has arisen for a Shift Operational Technician to join the team responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a plant on a 24-hour shift rotation. The role involves both control room operations and field-based duties, ensuring the plant operates effectively and within environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor the plant from a central control room and in the field.

Perform plant and equipment process changes to optimise performance.

Diagnose and rectify process and equipment faults.

Carry out system isolations in line with safety procedures.

Manage DCS operations and respond to alarms effectively.

Oversee the operation of the ERF and boiler chemistry.

Maintain accurate shift logs and conduct thorough shift handovers.

Monitor plant performance continuously to minimise environmental impact.

Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing personal development and career progression.

Maintain a flexible and proactive approach to work.

Candidate Requirements:

Understanding of safe systems of work, including plant isolations.

Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.

A safety qualification (e.g., IOSH or NEBOSH) is preferred.

Experience in mechanical, electrical, or process plant operations.

The ability to attain the level of Authorised Person is desirable
