As an interim consultant manager for the OT service, you will provide visionary leadership in driving transformation and service improvement across the department.
You will be responsible for identifying opportunities for innovation, implementing change management strategies, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Your role will involve leading on strategic initiatives designed to enhance service delivery, streamline processes, and ensure that the service remains responsive to evolving community needs.
By championing best practice and fostering collaborative working, you will guide the service through periods of change, ensuring all improvements are sustainable and aligned with the Council’s objectives.
The Role
In this position, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the Council’s aims by delivering high-quality services and contributing to projects that benefit the local community.
This involves collaborating with colleagues across departments, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
They will be encouraged to take the initiative, work independently when required, and uphold our values of integrity, respect, and innovation.
The ability to make informed decisions, drive performance improvements, and maintain oversight of service operations is essential at this level.
What will you be doing?
Lead and manage a team of qualified occupational therapists and support staff, setting clear goals and expectations to drive service excellence and continuous professional development.
Oversee the delivery of comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring best practice and compliance with relevant legislation and clinical standards.
Develop, implement, and monitor service improvement initiatives, policies, and procedures to enhance quality of care, efficiency, and outcomes for service users.
Collaborate closely with internal teams, external partners, and community organisations to facilitate integrated working and seamless support for adults with complex needs.
