Salary: £104 - £110 per day

About the role/school
We are working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Newham to recruit a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their Reception team from February. This role involves supporting a number of pupils with additional needs, including ASD and ADHD, within an Early Years classroom setting.

The school has a strong inclusive ethos and a supportive staff team, making this an excellent opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about early intervention and supporting pupils at the start of their educational journey.

Job Responsibilities

Support pupils in Reception with their learning, development, and wellbeing.

Work with children with ASD and ADHD, using tailored support strategies.

Support pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis as required.

Assist the class teacher with daily routines and learning activities.

Encourage positive behaviour, communication, and independence.

Help create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment.

Qualifications/Experience

Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.

Experience supporting pupils with additional needs, particularly ASD and ADHD.

A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach.

Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Right to work in the UK.
