A NHS organisation in the West Midlands is looking for a CCAB qualified accountant on a 12+ months fixed term contract to support the Head of Financial Services.

Main responsibilities:
Reconciliation of source data to general ledger hierarchy, investigate any discrepancies and organise journal corrections. Including payroll and stock system feeds.
Ensure correct analysis of income and expenditure categories enabling concise production of tables / graphs.
Production of monthly balance sheets (Statement of Financial Positions), ensuring correct analysis of assets / liabilities.
Reconciliation of balance sheet codes, including Fixed Asset Registers.
Prioritise and supervise month-end workload of the team to ensure maximum accuracy of reporting within the available time-scale.
Managing production of year end stock take liaising closely with relevant stock holders.
Meet tight deadlines for year- end closure.
Production of quarterly VAT returns and the supporting ledger postings.

The person:

CCAB Qualified ideally
NHS experience is desirable but not essential
Highly numerate with analytical mind
