Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with one of our Cheshire West and Chester client secondary schools to recruit a Food Technology Technician for an immediate start, continuing until February half-term.

This is a part-time supply role, ideal for an experienced Food Technology Technician, Design & Technology Technician, or school-based technician looking for short-term work within a supportive and well-led secondary school environment.

The Role:

Position: Food Technology Technician / DT Technician
Location: Cheshire West and Chester
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Until February half-term
Hours: 9:00am - 2:30pm
Pay: Negotiable, depending on experienceAbout the School:

Key Responsibilities

Preparing ingredients, materials and equipment for Food Technology lessons (KS3 & KS4)
Ensuring compliance with health & safety and food hygiene regulations
Maintaining and organising the food technology classroom and storage areas
Supporting teaching staff during practical lessons
Cleaning, stock control and safe storage of equipmentThe Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience as a Food Technology Technician, DT Technician or similar school-based role
Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and risk assessments
Experience working within a secondary school environment preferred
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
