My Client are seeking an experienced Freelance Senior Site Manager / Project Manager to take full control of a major residential groundworks package starting March 2026, for a 10-month contract.
This is a No.1 on site position, responsible for the successful delivery of groundworks and civils on a large-scale housing development.

THE PROJECT
• Residential development of approximately 120 housing units
• Full groundworks and civils package
• Piled foundations and precast ring beams
• Roads and sewers

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Acting as Number 1 on site, overseeing daily site operations
• Managing all groundworks and civils activities
• Coordination of piled foundations and precast ring beam installation
• Managing roads and sewers packages
• Ordering materials and maintaining a materials tracker
• Managing and tracking RFIs
• Leading and managing a site team of around 12 personnel, including a Site Engineer
• Client liaison, attending and leading client meetings
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to quality standards
• Coordinating subcontractors and suppliers
• Reporting progress and issues to senior stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS
• Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager on residential groundworks projects
• Strong background in civils, piling, and infrastructure works
• Experience operating as No.1 on site
• Confident managing site teams and subcontractors
• Strong client-facing and communication skills
• SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold) required
• First Aid certification required
