About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Waste Operative to join a busy team in Durham. This is a temporary position offering consistent hours across a four‑day working week.

As a Waste Operative, you will play a key part in maintaining cleanliness, supporting waste collection activities, and ensuring safe and efficient site operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Assisting with waste collection and disposal across designated areas

* Manual handling of waste materials

* Operating equipment and following safe working practices

* Working as part of a team to meet daily targets

Requirements

* Physically fit – this role involves a significant amount of manual handling, walking, lifting, and outdoor work

* Ability to work reliably within set hours

* Strong work ethic and a positive team attitude

* Previous waste or labouring experience is beneficial but not essential
