Outreach Tutor (SEN) - Buckinghamshire
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Prospero Teaching is looking for an Outreach Tutor to deliver bespoke education packages on a 1:1 basis to young people with Special Educational Needs who are not attending school.
As an Outreach Tutor, you will create, plan, and deliver tailored 1:1 lessons that bridge gaps in pupils' education, rebuild confidence, and improve engagement and attainment. This role is ideal for an experienced teacher looking to step away from the traditional classroom setting and provide more personalised and rewarding learning experiences.
Many pupils may have been out of education for a significant period, so they will need your support to reengage with learning and rebuild a structured routine.
Prospero Teaching will work closely with you to monitor progress and provide ongoing support to ensure effective learning outcomes.
CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
* Location - Various locations across Buckinghamshire
* Position - Outreach Tutor (SEN)
* Type of work - Contract
* Start date - ASAP
* Duration / Likely Duration - dependent on each student
* Contract type - Temporary
* Full time/part time - Both part time and full time depending on availability
* Minimum rate of pay - Minimum £25 per hour
* Hours - Sessions from a minimum of 1 hour up to a maximum of 3 hours
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
* QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent
* 6 months+ experience working in a UK school
* Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable but not essential)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
* Hold Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
* Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years
