Weekend Refuge Practitioner
Leicester City - two sites
Temporary to Permanent
Salary: £13.73 per hour
Hours: 13 hours per week - Saturday & Sunday (9am-4pm)

We are seeking a compassionate and professional Weekend Refuge Practitioner to provide support to women and children residing in refuge accommodation in Leicester City. This role is essential in offering practical and emotional support, ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the refuge, and meeting the day-to-day needs of residents.

Key Responsibilities:
- Offer one-to-one and group support to residents
- Communicate and coordinate with external agencies regarding housing, safeguarding, benefits, and wellbeing
- Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality
- Foster a secure and supportive environment

Requirements:
- A calm and empathetic demeanour
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Must possess a valid UK driver's licence as travel between the two city sites is required
- Familiarity with safeguarding practises is preferred (training will be provided)

Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but we also welcome applications from individuals studying or training in social care, psychology, counselling, or related fields.

An Enhanced DBS check is required.
