Join Our Team of Expert Tutors – QTS Required | Flexible, Rewarding, Impactful

Are you a qualified teacher looking for a flexible, meaningful role outside the classroom? We’re seeking passionate QTS tutors to support learners across Islington. 

We work closely with local authorities, schools, and virtual schools to deliver high-quality education to students who may be out of mainstream school, need catch-up support, or require a more personalised learning approach. Most sessions take place during school hours (9am–3pm), Monday to Friday.

Your Role

Deliver engaging, personalised tuition in core subjects
Adapt lessons to meet each learner’s needs, pace, and ability
Track and report progress, attendance, and engagement using our platform
Communicate with parents/carers, schools, and our team to ensure consistent support
Ensure safeguarding and student well-being are central to every session
Offer tuition online or face-to-face, based on student needs and your availability

SEN/SEMH Experience Valued

Many of our learners have Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.We welcome tutors who

Have experience working with SEN/SEMH learners
Use patience, empathy, and flexibility to build trust and engagement
Can adapt teaching strategies to suit a wide range of needs
Are confident in managing behaviour in 1:1 or small group settings

We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Strong subject knowledge and curriculum experience
Confident working with school-aged learners (KS1–KS5)
Understanding of differentiated teaching and inclusive practice
Strong communication and organisation skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service

What We Offer:

Competitive hourly rate: £25–£30 PAYE, paid weekly

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
