Trainee Teaching Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed and enthusiastic individual to join our vibrant client secondary school in the central Manchester area (Gorton/Belle Vue - towards the East of Manchester) as a Trainee Teaching Assistant starting in September 2025.
This is an ideal role for someone looking to gain experience in a school setting, particularly if you're interested in progressing into teaching, SEND support, pastoral care or educational psychology.
As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support teachers in delivering high-quality lessons across a range of subjects.
Work with individual pupils or small groups, particularly those who need additional support.
Help monitor student progress and behaviour, maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment.
Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Receive ongoing training, mentoring and professional development opportunities throughout the year.
This position provides a comprehensive introduction to working in education. You'll receive regular feedback and have opportunities to attend CPD (continuing professional development) sessions and shadow experienced staff. You will also have the ability to take on training through our free and comprehensive suite of online development training courses.
We are looking for someone who is:

Reliable, punctual and organised with a proactive attitude.
Willing to learn and take on new challenges with a positive mindset.
Desirable (but not essential):
Experience working or volunteering with children or young people.
Interest in pursuing a career in education or youth work.
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
Any additional experience/education should be highlighted on your application
