Service Technician

Worsley - Salford

Salary Circa £30k + Vehicle

Our client is a family run business and is one of the UK's leading importers and wholesale distributors of industrial and welding equipment.

We are recruiting for an experienced service technician both electrical and mechanical bias to carry out repairs workshop and on customers' sites supporting all of our product range across UK southern region. The ideal candidate would be someone who has experience within the welding/compressor industry and looking to expand their skills into further product lines and technology.

Ideal Candidate

* Electro-mechanical Engineering Qualification (ONC / HNC)

* Familiarity of using basic test & measurement equipment such as multi-meters and volt-meters. Oscilloscopes would

be advantageous

* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair all technical issues

* Strong communication skills with effective customer interaction

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team with good time management skills.

* A good understanding of electronic components and inverters

* Knowledge of working on Piston & Screw air compressors

* Knowledge of carrying out service work and calibrations on-site

* Good documentation and computer skills

* A valid UK driving licence

* A willingness for occasional overnight stays to fulfil on-site repairs.
