Finance Analyst

Certain Advantage are hiring for a Finance Analyst to join a large engineering organisation based in Daventry. This role is required to be onsite 3 days a week.

Your responsibilities will include:

Prepare complex financial analyses and reports to support departmental and management decision-making.
Develop and maintain annual budgets, expense forecasts, staffing plans, and statistical reports in collaboration with assigned business units.
Perform variance analysis and cost analysis to explain financial performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Support month-end book closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
Conduct ad hoc analyses, reports, and special studies as requested by management.
Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, procedures, and reporting standards. 
The individual:

Holds a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional certification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is desirable.
Brings at least 3 years of experience in financial analysis within a production or manufacturing environment.
Demonstrates strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
Possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Adopts a structured and methodical approach to work, managing multiple priorities effectively.
Communicates clearly and collaborates well across teams and functions.
