Job Opportunity: Mechanical Project Engineer (Water)
Location: Southeast - Kent
Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum + benefits
A role has become available for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join a team delivering MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) projects. The ideal candidate will bring experience in industrial installations, a strong focus on safety and quality, and a proactive approach to achieving project efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
·Supporting the delivery of MEICA projects by ensuring technical specifications and safety standards are met.
·Collaborating with clients, contractors, and internal teams to plan, coordinate, and implement project activities.
·Overseeing technical designs, quality checks, and resolving engineering challenges.
·Promoting a safety-first culture and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
·Driving efficiencies and maintaining high-quality standards in project execution.
·Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
Candidate Profile:
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
·A degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, ICA, or a related field).
·Strong leadership abilities and problem-solving skills.
·Proven experience managing multiple projects with varying priorities.
·Relevant qualifications, including SMSTS/NEBOSH and a valid CSCS card.
·Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and familiarity with safe working practices.
·First Aid training and a commitment to fostering safety on-site.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
·Knowledge of utilities or water industry projects.
·Experience with NEC, IChemE, or MF1 contracts.
·Certifications such as Thames Water Safety Passport or EUSR Water Hygiene card.
