Job Summary
We seek an experienced and motivated Machine Operator with experience in running machinery and managing a team of operators. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in the corrugated packaging industry, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and demonstrate strong leadership abilities.

This role is crucial in ensuring our production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Machine Operation: Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of machinery. This could be a Flexographic Printer, Flat die cut, or multipoint folder gluing machinery.

* Leadership & Supervision: Lead and manage a team of up to 5 people depending on the machine, ensuring clear communication of duties and expectations.

* Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve machine issues /production issues promptly to minimise downtime and maintain productivity.

* Maintenance: Perform and oversee weekly maintenance tasks to ensure machinery operates optimally.

* Quality Assurance: Ensure all jobs meet the highest quality standards, whether performed personally or by the team.

* Decision Making: Make informed decisions quickly to address production challenges and ensure smooth operations.

* Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols and standards are followed by the team.

* Training: Train and mentor crew members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Skills & Qualifications

Essential:

* Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in machine operating, including setting, running and maintainting.

* Strong technical background with proficiency in operating and maintaining machinery.

* Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

* Strong verbal and written communication skill

Desirable

* Experience in corrugated packaging

* Experience in operating Flexographic Printer, Flat die cut, or multipoint folder gluing machinery.

Pay: From £13.09 per hour

Expected hours: 8.25 per week
