Job Opportunity: Breakfast Chef

Location: Sandsend, Whitby

Salary: £30,000 per annum + Share of Service Charge

Our client, set in the beautiful coastal village of Sandsend, Whitby, is undergoing an extensive transformation. The historic site is being revamped into a luxurious wellness-led sanctuary, featuring elegant interiors, advanced spa and gym facilities, exceptional lodges, and superior dining experiences as part of a significant £100 million development project.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Breakfast Chef to join our culinary team. This role is crucial in setting the tone for our guests' dining experience, providing high-quality breakfast service that aligns with our establishment’s high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare and present high-quality breakfast dishes with attention to speed and detail.

* Manage all aspects of the breakfast service, ensuring timely execution and exceptional service delivery.

* Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and maintain supply continuity.

* Uphold strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen, adhering to safety regulations at all times.

* Contribute to menu development for the breakfast service, incorporating seasonal ingredients and guest preferences.

* Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen during and after the breakfast service.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Breakfast Chef or a strong background in a similar culinary role, particularly in high-volume, fast-paced environments.

* Excellent knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures, with a strong focus on breakfast items.

* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards.

* Effective communication and organizational skills, capable of managing early morning shifts.

* A commitment to food safety and cleanliness.

* Energetic, early-riser with the ability to motivate and maintain energy throughout the morning service.
