Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant – Outreach (Primary & Secondary)

Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Start Date: September 2025

We are seeking a dedicated and flexible SEN Teaching Assistant to join our outreach team, working with primary and secondary aged pupils across the community. This unique role involves providing personalised, 1:1 or small group support to children who are not currently attending mainstream education due to a variety of additional needs, including SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and other learning differences.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the delivery of tailored learning programmes in outreach settings (e.g. home, libraries, community centres)
Build trusting, supportive relationships with children and their families
Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviour and promote emotional wellbeing
Liaise closely with teaching staff, therapists, and other professionals to ensure a joined-up approach
Keep accurate records of progress, behaviour, and engagement
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with children with SEN, ideally in both primary and secondary age ranges
A calm, patient, and proactive approach to working in a variety of environments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider multidisciplinary team
A full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle is highly desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
