Brownlee Cale are working with a Tier 2 national civil engineering firm looking to hire 2 permanent Quantity Surveyors for upcoming projects in the Middlesborough area, due to start in 4-6 weeks time.

Responsibilities:

* Manage commercial and contractual aspects of work packages from pre-start to final account

* Prepare and submit monthly valuations, applications for payment and cost reports

* Identify, evaluate, and manage variations, claims and change events

* Monitor project costs and budgets, ensuring financial perofrmance that aligns with target

* Support procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, including scope and agreements

* Regular site visits to assess progress

Requirements:

* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline

* Membership of RICS or working towards

* Previous experience within a Civil Engineering firm on a large-scale project as Quantity Surveyor

* Competant with key tools: cost reporting software, excel, document control platforms
