Senior Financial Analyst (Part-Time)
Location: St. Ives, Cambridgeshire
Department: Finance – UK
Working Hours: Part-time, 25 hours per week with the potential to lead to full time hours
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join a busy Finance team on a part-time basis. This role focuses on the costing and performance analysis of customised products across the EMEA region, providing expert financial support to manufacturing and operations teams.
Key Objectives:
This position is responsible for the development and analysis of costing models, performance metrics, and financial processes related to customised production. It will involve close collaboration with Operations and Supply Chain teams, as well as providing ad hoc analysis and costing expertise to support commercial decisions.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for production to support ongoing monitoring and performance tracking.
* Work collaboratively with Operations and Supply Chain to identify cost control opportunities and support process improvements.
* Analyse actual production costs against planned costs to highlight cost drivers and recommend efficiencies.
* Investigate and resolve costing variances at month-end and year-end.
* Calculate annual standard costs for customised products, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
* Communicate standard costs to EMEA regions and support the implementation of any pricing amendments.
* Contribute to the development of a best-in-class costing process.
Candidate Profile:
* Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ICAEW)
* Proven experience in a manufacturing cost environment
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Able to work independently and proactively drive process improvement
* Comfortable working with systems and data in a fast-paced environment
* Experienced in the set-up and development of financial processes and performance measures

* This role requires regular use of a computer and may involve extended periods at a desk.
* The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a detail-oriented and process-driven approach.
