A boutique financial and commercial advisory services business, who have grown massively in recent years, is seeking an Associate Director to play a key role in driving strategic initiatives across decentralised energy systems and sustainable infrastructure. Based in London with flexible working options, this role offers the chance to lead impactful work across the UK and beyond.
The Role
As Associate Director, you will:
Lead complex advisory mandates in heat networks, microgrids and other decentralised energy systems.
Oversee commercial development, stakeholder negotiation and project delivery across both public and private sectors.
Manage and mentor high-performing teams, while supporting the growth of the firm’s energy transition practice.
Contribute to M&A activities, investment planning and business case development for clean infrastructure projects.
Play a central role in shaping and expanding UK-centric advisory offerings with increasing international reach.
You
To succeed in the role of Associate Director, you will bring:
A track record in energy transition advisory, ideally within ESCOs or consultancy environments.
Strong experience in M&A, commercial structuring and stakeholder management for low-carbon infrastructure.
Deep sector knowledge in areas such as heat networks, smart local energy systems, CHP and renewables.
Proven leadership skills, with the ability to direct multidisciplinary teams and manage complex bids and client relationships.
UK market expertise, with a commercial mindset and a drive to influence policy and decarbonisation strategies.
