1. Pre-Construction Planning

Review electrical designs and single-line diagrams for WtE plant components (e.g., incinerators, boilers, turbines, flue gas treatment systems).

Collaborate with engineers to ensure compliance with BS 7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations) and BS EN 61439 (low-voltage switchgear).

*

Develop method statements and risk assessments for high-risk tasks (e.g., HV cable installations, confined space work).

Skills & Qualifications

1. Mandatory Certifications:

1.

SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) or SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).

2.

CSCS Gold Card (Supervisor) or Black Card (Manager).

3.

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering.
