School Cleaner – Primary School Location: Preston
Contract: Temporary / Ad-hoc / Short-term cover
Hours: Early morning / After school – e.g. 3:30pm–6:30pm
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role A school is seeking a reliable cleaner to provide cover within a school environment. The role involves maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic setting for pupils and staff.

Key Responsibilities
Cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas

Emptying bins and disposing of waste correctly

Mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting

Replenishing cleaning supplies and toiletries

Following health & safety and COSHH guidelines

Ensuring high standards of cleanliness at all times

Essential Requirements
Previous cleaning experience (school or commercial preferred)

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

Understanding of health & safety procedures

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

Desirable
Experience working in a school environment

Knowledge of COSHH regulations
