Westray Recruitment Group are seeking a Multiskilled Mechanical Fitter to join our client in Sunderland who is a global company specialising in piping systems for various industries. They operate globally with multiple branches; providing a full range of products and services to various industries. They have a focus on reliability and environmental friendliness.  The organisation has a solid order book and can provide role stability as they have a long serving history with their clients.

As a result of increase in work and a busy order book they are seeking a multiskilled mechanical fitter to join their team.

THE ROLE

You will overhaul and repair Graco/Mastic/Sealant Pumps
You will assemble and install mechanical components
You will clean, and rebuild pumps and assess any other repairs required
You will manufacture hoses, although training will be provided
You will use a variety of hand and power tools to strip and reassemble various pump and hoses
Fabrication and Welding skills would be advantageous
You will check the complete assembly for alignment, dimensions and quality
You will assist with production and build of fabricated assemblies of varying size and complexity
You will observe company H&S policy and comply the company’s safety rules THE PERSON

You will be time-served and have an engineering background/qualifications
You will have you own hand tools; and power tools are available on site
You need to be available to work overtime and weekends – this is a must for the role
You need a full UK driving licence for this role
You will have good communication skills
You must have a good understanding of engineering drawings and standards
You will be comfortable working outside in all elements of weather  TO APPLY
