Healthcare Assistant – Complex Care (Borehamwood)

£15.20 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

Day & Night shifts available | 1:1 Care

This is a rewarding 1:1 role where your support makes a real, visible difference every single day — helping a child feel safe, happy, and supported in their routine.

About the Client

Our young client has a bright personality and enjoys:

• Children’s TV (especially Hey Duggee)

• Being read to

• Singing and music

• Engaging with people’s faces and voices

Your warmth, patience, and positive energy will play a huge role in their comfort and development.

? Clinical Support (Training Provided)

You’ll support the client with clinical tasks outlined in their care plan, which may include:

• Nebuliser support

• Cough assist

• Medication via Gastrostomy

• Oral suction

• Gastrostomy care

No need to have every skill already — our expert Clinical Team provides full specialist training and competency sign-off.

Shifts Available

We offer consistent, predictable shifts to support your work–life balance and financial stability:

Day Shifts:

• 07:00 – 18:00

• 08:00 – 18:00

• 10:00 – 17:00

Night Shifts:

• 21:00 – 06:00

• 22:00 – 07:00

What You’ll Be Doing

• Delivering compassionate 1:1 care in the client’s home

• Supporting with school and community access

• Promoting independence, dignity, and choice

• Providing emotional reassurance and wellbeing support

• Working closely with clinical, care, and coordination teams

Your presence will help the client feel safe, supported, and confident in their daily life.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience supporting individuals with complex needs (preferred)

• Confidence with clinical tasks or a willingness to learn

• Reliability, professionalism, and strong communication skills

• Empathy, emotional intelligence, and a person-centred approach

• Ability to work independently within a care plan
