We are recruiting FLT Drivers / Yard Operatives for our waste management client based in Bromsgrove. This is a great opportunity to join a busy Waste Transfer Station, working in a hands‑on role within a supportive team.

The Role

As an FLT Driver / Yard Operative, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient handling, sorting, and movement of waste materials across the site. You will play a key role in maintaining site standards, supporting operations, and always ensuring compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Waste Handling & Operations

Receive, unload, sort, and move waste safely and accurately
Operate a Counterbalance FLT to move materials around site
Place waste into correct bays, containers, or stockpiles
Prevent cross‑contamination of waste streams
Assist with loading outgoing waste safely and efficientlySite Standards

Keep the yard clean, tidy, and hazard‑free
Follow all site layout rules, signage, and traffic management
Maintain bays, skips, and working areas to high standardsTeamwork & Support

Support supervisors, weighbridge teams, and drivers when needed
Follow clear instructions from site management
Communicate professionally with drivers and customers on site
No unauthorised removal of waste or materialsWhat We're Looking For

Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (essential)
Experience in a yard, recycling, warehousing, or waste environment (preferred)
Safety‑focused mindset and good communication skills
Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a teamHours & Pay

Shift: 08:00 - 17:00
Rate: £12.21 - £13.00 per hour
