PRINCIPAL AIR QUALITY CONSULTANT - BIRMINGHAM - £55,000 to £70,000 + Benefits

A respected environmental consultancy is seeking a PRINCIPAL AIR QUALITY CONSULTANT to take a leading role within its Birmingham team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong and commercially minded consultant to drive air quality services, support business growth, and guide a talented group of consultants across the Midlands.

As a PRINCIPAL AIR QUALITY CONSULTANT, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of dispersion modelling, impact assessments, and local air quality management reports across sectors including transport infrastructure, urban development, and energy. You'll also play a key part in mentoring junior consultants, developing client relationships, and contributing to the consultancy's continued expansion.

We are seeking a PRINCIPAL AIR QUALITY CONSULTANT with:

6+ years of professional experience in air quality consultancy or regulation

Detailed understanding of ADMS, AERMOD, IAQM/EPUK guidance, and UK air quality standards

A strong track record in project delivery, client management, and team support

Degree in Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, Chemistry, or related discipline

Chartered status (CEnv, IAQM) or working towards accreditation

A full UK driving licence

This Birmingham-based role comes with a £55,000 to £70,000 salary, hybrid working, private healthcare, pension, bonus scheme, CPD support, and a clear pathway to Associate/Director level.
