Job Title: Product Quality Engineer
Location: Leicester
Salary: £45-50k per annum (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

As a Product Quality Engineer, you will develop products and support business growth. Primarily you will be involved in the quality aspects of New Production Introduction taking parts from Contract Review through to completion of FAIR and Production Rate Readiness.
You will support Continuous Improvement activities of legacy production to improve quality performance margin improvements.
As a Product Quality Engineer, you will take the lead on handling concessions to ensure product conformity.

About You:

As a Product Quality Engineer, you will be a meticulous, analytical, and pragmatic problem-solver with a strong technical background and excellent interpersonal skills. You will enjoy handling product quality issues and be someone who thrives on ensuring product integrity and preventing issues, rather than just reacting to them.

Essential Requirements:

* Unrestricted right to work in the UK.

* Willingness to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Skills Required:

* Previous experience in a Manufacturing environment within machining

* Experience of working in a Quality Engineering role within the precision engineering markets - Aerospace or Motorsport/Automotive

* Thorough knowledge of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)

* Ability to create Control Plans and Inspection Plans

* Able to carry out Measurement Systems Analysis (Gauge R&R) in accordance with AS13007

* Experience of preparing a range of quality documentation including but not limited to Concessions, Deviation Requests, FAIRs etc

* An understanding of LEAN manufacturing philosophy

* Ideally, an understanding of A9100, AS9102, AS13007, AS13003 and related Quality Systems

* Working knowledge of PFMEA and it's effective use within a manufacturing environment

* Problem identification and resolution through the use of standard methodologies such as 5Y, 8Ds etc

* Understanding of Visual NPI, Visual FAIR, Visual PPAP, Minitab
