Hill McGlynn Recruitment is delighted to be working on behalf of a well-established main contractor based in Maidstone, who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support their continued growth.
Our client delivers a diverse range of new build, fit-out, and refurbishment projects, typically valued between £3m and £15m, across both public and private sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to take a senior role within a respected and forward-thinking contractor.

The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the full commercial management of multiple projects, from pre-construction through to final account.
Key responsibilities include:

Managing project costs, budgets, and forecasts
Procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
Preparation and negotiation of valuations, variations, and final accounts
Cost reporting and commercial risk management
Supporting junior members of the commercial team
Working closely with project managers and site teams to ensure commercial success The Ideal Candidate

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor
Strong background in new build, fit-out, and refurbishment projects
Experience managing projects in the £3m-£15m value range
Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects
Relevant construction or commercial qualification preferred What's on Offer
