We are looking for an Assistant Production Manager to work closely with our Production Manager, supporting factory operations and gradually taking on leadership responsibilities. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on engineering environment and enjoys problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist the Production Manager in overseeing factory operations.

* Gradually take on managerial duties, leading sections of the shop floor.

* Work closely with Team Leaders and Supervisors to ensure production efficiency.

* Identify and solve production delays with creative, proactive solutions.

* Foster strong communication between departments, including Procurement, Quality, and Engineering.

* Use MRP systems, including Bills of Materials (BoMs), to track production.

* Ensure accurate interpretation of engineering drawings for manufacturing processes.

* Promote a professional, constructive shop floor culture—balancing authority with approachability.

What We’re Looking For:

* Experience in a mechanical shop floor engineering environment.

* Familiarity with MRP systems and managing work orders.

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

* Strong PC skills, particularly Excel (aspirational, not essential).

* Experience in electrical/electronics is an advantage.

* The ability to lead and collaborate with a diverse workforce across all age groups.

* A practical mindset—capable of cutting through distractions to solve problems effectively.

* Assertiveness without being overbearing—someone confident yet professional.
