Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking for a long-term opportunity within a supportive and forward-thinking primary school?
Long Term Futures are working closely with a welcoming primary school in Kings Heath (B14) who are seeking a confident HLTA to support learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
This is an excellent opportunity for an HLTA who enjoys variety - from delivering targeted interventions to covering classes and supporting pupils with additional needs. The school is on a positive improvement journey and offers a collaborative environment where staff are genuinely valued.
The Role
Deliver small group interventions in English, Phonics, Maths and Social & Emotional development
Provide high-quality support across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
Cover whole classes when required, following lesson plans and maintaining strong behaviour management
Support pupils with SEN and additional needs, adapting learning to suit individual abilities
Monitor and feedback on pupil progress to teachers and SLT
Contribute to wider school life, including enrichment activities and clubs
The Ideal Candidate
Holds HLTA status or a Level 3 qualification / relevant degree
Strong Maths and English skills (GCSE grade C/4 or above)
Experience delivering structured interventions with proven impact
Confident supporting pupils with SEN and learning barriers
High expectations for behaviour, engagement and progress
Reliable, proactive and able to work collaboratively within a team
