Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Fork Lift Truck driver to join our busy logistics team. This role is ideal for a candidate with extensive experience in warehouse operations, particularly within fast-paced environments such as FMCG. The successful applicant will be confident operating a forklift (counterbalance essential) and will demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety, stock accuracy, and teamwork. 8:00am – 5:00pm with flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate Counterbalance FLT safely and efficiently (tested during interview).
* Support warehouse operations including goods in, goods out, stock movements, and booking stock in/out.
* Manually handle stock and goods, including lifting and moving heavy items – must be physically fit and able to manage repetitive tasks.
* Accurately pick and pack orders using handheld scanners in a fast-paced environment.
* Assist with stock control, including cycle counts, stock checks, and investigating discrepancies.
* Use warehouse systems and Microsoft Office tools for stock management and documentation.
* Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, follow risk assessments and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Support the team with general warehouse duties as required, including maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key Requirements
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar warehouse or FMCG role.
* Valid Counterbalance FLT Licence – practical test will be conducted during interview.
* Reach Truck licence is advantageous but not essential.
* Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks consistently.
* Experience with stock control systems and warehouse software.
* Comfortable with PC use – familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
* Strong awareness of Health & Safety and risk management in a warehouse setting.
* Proven experience in order picking and packing, ideally using handheld scanners.
