Sue Ross Recruitment are seeking a Facilities Assistant to join a leading global professional services firm with offices in Sheffield. The firm operates internationally with a strong presence across 80+ offices in over 45 countries. The primary purpose of the facilities assistant role is to support the effective delivery of day-to-day facilities services. This is a hands-on role involving general maintenance, front-of-house services, and basic health and safety responsibilities.
Main Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality facilities support to ensure an excellent experience for clients and staff
* Monitor shared Facilities Helpdesk inbox, responding to queries promptly
* Understand and help achieve service delivery targets (SLAs and KPIs)
* Liaise with and oversee contractors, monitoring progress of onsite work
* Perform basic maintenance and fabric tasks (e.g., desk moves, tap temperature checks, outlet flushing)
* Maintain a safe office environment by proactively identifying and reporting issues
* Support emergency procedures and participate in annual evacuation drills
* Stay informed of current health and safety legislation and internal policies
* Assist with meeting room setups and daily AV equipment checks
* Provide front-of-house support, including greeting visitors and managing access passes
* Adhere to all building security procedures
The ideal candidate will possess a hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving, whilst having the ability to be proactive and and take initiative when coordinating tasks. You must be comfortable working with various internal and external stakeholders and have flexibility to support out-of-hours work when required.
