Linux NetApp Consultant

Rate: £500/day (Inside IR35)

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Linux NetApp Consultant to support a short-term infrastructure project involving NetApp storage systems and Linux-based environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise storage, Linux system administration, and infrastructure migration.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide expert-level support for NetApp storage systems (ONTAP, SnapMirror, SnapVault)

* Administer and troubleshoot Linux servers (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu)

* Assist with storage migration, data replication, and performance tuning

* Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure compliance and stability

* Document configurations, procedures, and best practices

* Support backup and disaster recovery planning

Essential Skills & Experience:

* 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration

* Strong hands-on experience with NetApp storage solutions

* Proficiency in Bash scripting and automation

* Experience with NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, and SAN/NAS environments

* Familiarity with networking fundamentals and firewall rules

* Strong troubleshooting and performance analysis skills

Desirable:

* Experience with VMware, Ansible, or Kubernetes

* Exposure to cloud storage integrations (AWS, Azure)

* Previous work in higher education, finance, or research environments
