Key Responsibilities:

Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging lessons for Year 2 pupils, ensuring a broad and balanced curriculum that supports both academic and social development.

Use a variety of assessment tools to monitor and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching approaches to support diverse learning needs.

Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes self-confidence, collaboration, and independent learning.

Work closely with colleagues, contributing to whole-school initiatives and planning, ensuring consistency and high standards across the year group.

Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

A thorough understanding of the Year 2 curriculum, with experience in delivering lessons that are both challenging and accessible.

Proven ability to assess pupil progress effectively and use assessment data to inform teaching.

Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive, engaging, and respectful learning environment.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.

A commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for inspiring young learners.
